Who goes in which photo slot
The generator has two slots and the order decides the roles. Slot 1, Survivor (you), is the person holding the gun. Slot 2, Who turns, is the partner who becomes the zombie. If you want to be the zombie, swap the photos.
- Most couples put the person posting the video in slot 1, so the caption reads in their voice: "I couldn't do it."
- Swapping roles is a popular second video. Make one each and post them as a pair.
- With a single photo of you both, the person on the left becomes the survivor and the person on the right turns. Flip the photo in your camera roll first if you need the roles the other way round.
Photos and outfits that work
- One face per photo, large and sharp. Crop out other people. A face that fills a quarter of the frame is ideal.
- Front-facing, natural light. Side profiles and dark bar photos are the main cause of faces drifting after the cut.
- No sunglasses, masks or heavy beauty filters. The model needs the eyes.
- Everyday clothes read best. The scene puts you in an abandoned kitchen and then a meadow; a hoodie, a jacket or a plain top survives both. Formal wear or costumes can look odd in the memory sequence.
- Similar photos, similar lighting. Two selfies from the same day blend better than a studio portrait next to a party snap.

The direction box (optional, up to 600 characters) adds detail on top of the preset story. A few that suit couples:
- "The memory is our wedding day: she wears a white dress, he wears a dark suit."
- "Close-up on matching rings as the gun comes down."
- "The memory is a beach at sunset instead of mountains."
- "Snow falling in the meadow."
For the complete preset text, see the zombie love story prompt.
Posting the couple video
- Post the vertical 9:16 MP4 straight to TikTok, Reels or Shorts. It has no watermark.
- The soundtrack is already in the file. You can keep it or add a trending sound in the app.
- Tag your partner, and only post them if they are happy to appear as a zombie.
Cost: $6.99 for one 12-second video, or $2.83 per video in the Crew Pack (35 videos for $99.00). Making one for each of you? The Plus Pack covers three standard videos.
Questions
Which person becomes the zombie?
The person in the second photo slot ("Who turns"). With one photo of you both, the person on the right turns and the person on the left holds the gun.
Can I be the zombie instead?
Yes. Put your own photo in the second slot and your partner's in the first.
Will it look like us?
Both photos are used as references, so faces stay recognizable when the photos are sharp and front-facing. Small, dark or side-on faces drift the most.
Can same-sex couples make the video?
Yes. The scene uses whoever is in the photos and does not assume genders.
Is the couple video private?
Yes. Your photos and video are only used to make your clip and are never posted to a public gallery. You decide whether to share it.
